Join us for a special luncheon celebrating Denver’s sister city, Cuernavaca, Mexico, as we honor the cultural connections and recent impactful initiatives of the Cuernavaca-Denver Sister City partnership, established in 1983. This event is a unique opportunity to connect with the vibrant Cuernavaca community and learn about recent projects, including a citizen delegation that planted trees, hosted a sports tournament at Parque Denver in Cuernavaca, and led an eyeglasses campaign that provided essential vision care to over 600 individuals—all thanks to the dedicated efforts of 700+ volunteer hours.
Enjoy an afternoon of culture and music with a special performance by renowned Mexican singer Gabriela de la Paz, who has shared the beauty of Mexican and Latin American music worldwide for over 40 years. Known for her passionate recitals that celebrate traditional songs, Gabriela brings her talent and heart to Denver for this unforgettable event. Joining her is Jean Broderick, a talented cellist from Pagosa Springs, Colorado, who has performed with Gabriela at iconic locations, including the Cathedral de Cuernavaca. Together, they create a beautiful cross-cultural musical experience.
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate our sister city relationship with Cuernavaca and enjoy an engaging afternoon filled with music, food, and community.
