The Denver School of the Arts has a rich 30 year tradition of teaching jazz music to the talented 8th – 12th grade musicians. The school has graduated many of Denver’s premier jazz musicians such as Rico Jones, Colin Stranahan, Alex Hefron, Gabe Rupe, Max Moore, Tony Golden, Rocco Williams and many more. The Jazz Workshop Orchestra has performed many times at the famed Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Festival in New York under the watchful eye of Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Come here the greats of tomorrow with 4 small groups and the award-winning Jazz Workshop Orchestra led by some of Denver’s best jazz players and instructors.
