John Gunther & the “Bad Hombres” is a striking original project from some of Denver’s “baddest” musicians, brewing a progressive funk sound that draws influences from the likes of Chris Potter and Medeski Martin & Wood.

John Gunther is a composer and multi-instrumentalist playing saxophones, clarinet, and flute. Possessing a restless musical spirit, he explores all forms of jazz from traditional to avant-garde in addition to classical music, world music, and experimental electronic music.
