This Friday night, 2/21 is the Dave Corbus All-Star Quintet tribute to Joe Bonner with Dave Corbus on guitar, Ken Walker on bass, Paul Romaine on drums, Jeff Jenkins on piano and Anisha Rush on alto sax.

Joe Bonner was a friend and mentor to many Denver jazz musicians, and this concert is a tribute to the greatness of his music and soulfulness of his being and features his original compositions performed by a band that was influenced by his music and touched by his magnetic personality. Joe recorded more than a dozen albums as a leader and served as a sideman for musicians such as Pharoah Sanders, Woody Shaw, Freddie Hubbard, Roy Haynes and Billy Harper. Come and experience the music of Joe Bonner as we pay homage to one of Denver’s great musicians! We were honored to have Joe Bonner perform at Caffè Sole several times and greatly appreciated his genuine warmth, accessibility and great musicality.
