Sunday nights in August, Nocturne presents the Daryl Gott Quintet as they honor the eternal saxophonist/composer Cannonball Adderley – specifically the albums Them Dirty Blues, Live at The Lighthouse and Live at the Vanguard.
Growing up in a musical family in Denver, saxophonist Daryl Gott was exposed to jazz at a young age. After graduating from Denver School of the Arts, he continued his formal music education at the City College of New York where he studied with saxophonist Jon Gordon. Daryl is very active in Denver’s jazz scene as a first call sideman and a dynamic bandleader in his own right.
