Both Colorado natives, Myles and Daryl had similar upbringings and many common mentors. Despite this, they only fairly recently crossed paths. Myles has lived in New York City since 2013 where he quickly became ensconced in the many creative music circles taking place there, touring nationally and abroad as part of jazz outfits as well as folk, bluegrass, and world music ensembles. Daryl also moved to NYC in 2006 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Jazz performance. He moved back to Denver in 2011, where he has been extremely active as a performer and educator. While the two only recently connected, there is a tangible musical connection every time they play that reminds the listener of two old friends. The band is rounded out by powerhouse musicians Dawn Clement on piano and Brian Claxton on drums. Come enjoy some original modern jazz steeped in the tradition of the great musicians that came before, as well a fresh perspective on standards everyone loves!
