A very special collaborative event as CMDance and Blue Roots Denver hold a benefit for MusiCares®.

A music performance with Roots and Rhythm and special guests, Lionel Young, Lady Larea, and Mark Bilker.

In July, Blue Roots Denver and CMDance present a blues music and dance benefit for MusiCares®. MusiCares is a nonprofit organization that assists music professionals in need across the country.  Musicians in the blues community in Denver as well as our sponsors such as the Colorado Blues Society, the Mile High Blues Society, Flipside Music, Colorado Accounting Systems, and Daydream Cafe, are working to put this benefit together as a thank you to what MusiCares has done for music professionals in our community.

You’re invited to celebrate MusiCares’s work, as well as help to raise money for the organization by attending the benefit. A meal with an acoustic blues set will be provided, and then a full band set will play with open dance space available in the upstairs ballroom of the Denver Turnverein.

Event Schedule:
11 am — Doors open, silent auction available for bids.

11:30 am – 12:30 pm — Acoustic blues music set with a meal served

12:30 – 1 pm — Band break with announcements/benefit activities/silent auction available for bids.

1 – 4 pm — Full band set and open space for dancing
