Presented by …Muse Performance Space. This year of 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of my father, Ed McCrossen, ( passed in ‘87), A member of the greatest generation who was and still is my greatest inspiration. In my youth sitting around the dinner table ,I was transfixed listening to stories of my dad’s experiences growing up in Brooklyn ,New York during the great depression, and then off to the Pacific in the Navy during World War II. I realize now, that when my time here is up on this planet these amazing stories will die with me, and I have felt I need to honor these experiences by telling them publicly as a reminder for my family, and also with the hope that maybe this will inspire others to do the same if they hold their memories of loved ones close as well. My monologue will be accompanied with improvised music on my various instruments: Double Bass, Drum, cello, Ngoni, waterphone.
