A favorite of Vail Jazz audiences through the years, Ann Hampton Callaway is a multi-platinum-selling singer, pianist, composer, lyricist, and arranger. A long-time–and leading–champion of the Great American Songbook, Ann applies her trademarked sparkle and panache to a movie-centric repertoire of familiar (and less so) songs associated with movies, classic and otherwise. Performing selections from her fifteen record discography, Ann will offer her elegant and sometimes playful treatments of jazz classics as well as her own original songs, showcasing the jazz/pop style that has made her a mainstay in concert halls, theaters, and jazz clubs as well as in the recording studio, on television and in film.  Her own songs are featured on seven of Barbra Streisand’s CDs, and she has been a guest performer with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Boston Pops, has been featured in many Carnegie Hall tributes and has sung with more than 30 of the world’s top orchestras and big bands.
