El Dia de la Madre on Canción Mexicana

Mothers are always special on Canción Mexicana and this Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10, from 9am to 1pm we’ll bring even more songs and memories for honoring the special Madre, Abuelita, Hermana, and Amiga in your life.

Debra Gallegos will be your host for this year’s “El Dia de la Madre” Celebration on Canción Mexicana, during our first hour of classics from Mexico, you’ll hear canciónes paying respect to Mothers sung by the greats of La Epoca Dorada (The Golden Age).

Then stay tuned for three more hours of a great mix of music from New Mexico, Texas, Colorado and beyond. We’ll continue to honor our Mothers who have cared for us and kept us safe. Music by favorites like Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Pedro Infante, Little Joe y La Familia, as well as new voices like Roberto Morales, Los Texmaniacs, and Candace Vargas.
