Echoverse Plays Radiohead

Utilizing and bending musical elements of jazz, electronic, rock and avant-garde improvisation, Echoverse performs the works of Radiohead at Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club on Fridays in September at 7pm.

Echoverse is:

Tania Katz has been actively performing, writing, and recording in the Denver music scene since 2011. She is an instructor at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Combining elements of experimental, avant-garde rock, folk, pop, and jazz Tania performs regularly with her two bands SharkTruce (with Dave Devine on guitar), and Taeogi (Aaron Burris-Deboskey & Jakey Wherry).

Dave Devine is known throughout the Denver jazz and rock scene for his virtuosity and versatility as a guitarist and composer. His band, Relay, blends jazz, rock, and ambient noise into complex, yet approachable, pop songs. In 2015 he recorded and performed with Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, as well as toured with Sun Kil Moon across Europe with featured artists Neil Halstead (Slowdive, Mojave 3) and Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth).

Julia Mendiolea originally from Wyoming and is a highly regarded multi-genre bass and synth player in Denver best known for her work with the band Inner Oceans. According to Westword Denver: “her quiet presence and focus lends a subtle but unmistakable layer of atmosphere to the various bands lucky enough to have her. From space rock/pop, psychedelia, dream pop and beyond, Mendiolea’s impressive skills, depth and range rank her among the very best bass players in Denver, regardless of genre”

Shawn King is a talented drummer and multi-instrumentalist and a member of the grammy-nominated ethno-rock powerhouse DeVotchKa. DeVotchKa’s music is a melting pot of genres, forming an authentic and wholly original style of rock ’n roll. In addition, Shawn is also a co-founder of ColorWheel Music, a modern mixed industry resource for advertisers, television, art, films, and podcasts; and a licensing/music placement house for songwriters.

Supporting the musicians practicing their craft on our stage is important to us – we have an artist fee that ranges from $5 to $10 per person per night (for Artists in Residence) that is applied to all guest checks at the conclusion of an evening. This artist fee goes directly fund all the live music heard at Nocturne.
