The Roxy on Broadway is a place where community gathers around classic cocktails, locally sourced cuisine, and live music. Their vibe is what they call “Vintage-Modern,” tipping its hat to the Roaring Twenties in its rich textures, warm lighting, and intricate details. While their aesthetic is a throwback, their menu is forward-thinking, blending American and International influences in an array of small plates.

Being part of a Greek family, owner Paula Vrakas grew up in restaurants. Eventually, she set out to own her own place, starting with the original location in San Diego, California. Wanting to grow roots in Colorado, she opened the second location on Broadway in Denver in 2019. The building itself has a long history of being a venue, formally the Syntax Physic Opera Space, which made the opening of The Roxy in this location with the plan to continue the legacy of live music “Kismet” in her words. While they offer live music at no cover most nights, the Wednesday Night Live Jazz and Open Jam definitely caught our attention!

Paula Vrakas joined us in the studio last week on Eats & Beats for a conversation about how The Roxy is building community in Denver. You can hear our chat below!

You can see their live music schedule and check out their drinks, dinner, and brunch menus at broadwayroxy.com.
