Introduced on Dizzy Gillespie’s 1954 album Afro, “Con Alma” features Gillespie’s signature fusion of Latin  and bebop jazz rhythms.

With key center changes occurring every two bars and a simple, singable melody, many musicians have enjoyed covering this fun tune!

Notable covers have been recorded by Oscar Peterson, Wes Montgomery, Ed Bickert, Stan Getz, Kenny Burrell and Ray Bryant.
