Mr. Sinclair will be performing a rich program of evocative blues poetry on Thursday, March 28 with Tom Worrell and the Blues Scholars and The Delta Sonics, followed by a set of jazz poetry on Friday, March 29 night with Paul Romaine, Peter Sommer, and Mark Diamond.

The stories John tells with his enthralling spoken word performances bring light, life and shape to legendary figures of jazz and blues like Monk, Trane, and Roosevelt Sykes.

John Sinclair is a legendary figure of the Detroit music, art, and literary scenes. Early in his career, Sinclair managed Detroit’s most powerful ‘60s rock & roll band, the MC5. Radical and revolutionary, both the MC5 and John Sinclair were driving forces in the political, social and cultural awakening of a generation of young Americans.
