David Amram & Friends
We invite all music lovers to attend with friends and family for this important occasion in Celebration of Music and of the amazing life achievement of the work of David Amram. David will appear live in concert on the Steinway piano and other instruments, accompanied by Hugh Ragin on trumpet and Tony Black on drums and Artie Moore on bass.

David Amram is one of the greatest living proponents of the Art of Music, symbolizing excellence and creativity in Jazz, Classical, Folk, Latin, and film scores, opera, and musical theater. In his words: “Music that is built to last.” He has known and collaborated with Woody Guthrie, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Leonard Bernstein, Willie Nelson, Charles Mingus, Pepper Adams, Levon Helm, Betty Carter, poets Alan Ginsburg, Langston Hughes, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and Jack Kerouac to name a few.
Amram is a Colorado favorite – in addition to performing with the Colorado Symphony, he regularly performs with his quartet at the annual Neal Cassady Birthday Bash poetry reading and has performed on several occasions at Dazzle and appeared in KUVO’s Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio as well as in Boulder at the Naropa University.
