Daruma launches in Denver
The next big thing? Maybe, but all drummer Shane Dähler wants is to make good music that’s relevant to the next generation of jazz fans. Colorado-based Max Moore (keyboards) and Hunter Roberts (bass) are joined by Zach Rich (trombone) and Gabriel Mininberg (saxophones) with Dähler with original music oriented in 21st century jazz, including grooves, ballads and “Coltrane-inspired swing. The new ensemble “Daruma” premieres in Denver this Saturday night, January 20 at Dazzle at the Denver Performing Arts Center.
Shane stopped by Morning Set on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 to introduce his band the KUVO audience.
