Crossroads Theater at 5 Pts.: alive with jazz, theater, poetry
Right at the intersection known as Five Points, the Crossroads Theater is becoming a favorite performance space for theater, for poetry, and for jazz education. Denver jazz singer Patrice LeBlanc books the Crossroads Theater, located at 2590 Washington St., and it’s getting busy over there.
“Our logo is “Bringing jazz back to the Point, because jazz historically was in Five Points,” reminds LeBlanc. ”We want this series to support local musicians.”
The summer series kicks off on Saturday, June 14 with Wendy Foepeano and friends Eric Gunnison, Mark Simon and Paul Romaine. And proceeds will benefit this fall’s Jazz Youth Workshop, produced in conjunction with the Colorado Conservatory of the Jazz Arts. LeBlanc also produces a theatrical workshop.
Upcoming events at the Crossroads Theater are posted at www.DenverCrossroads.com.
