Carrie Saldo reports on Creative Districts: Salida, CO

The creative sector accounts for over 185,000 jobs throughout the state of Colorado. Two years ago Colorado Creative Industries, the state’s arts agency, began certifying “Creative Districts” in various communities to leverage that artistic capital. There are now seven Certified Creative Districts in the state and with CCI poised to unveil its newest districts this June, KUVO arts reporter Carrie Saldo takes us through the process – and what it can mean for a community – starting with the state’s first certified Creative District… Salida!
