Connor Terrones Quintet | June 12

Connor Terrones and his jazz ensemble will be performing select original compositions and arrangements. Although Terrones has musical influences that span throughout every genre of music, his composing in the jazz idiom is highly inspired by his favorite jazz composers: Maria Schneider, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Brian Blade, Mark Guiliana, Charles Mingus, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Gil Evans, Herbie Hancock, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk and Michael Brecker. Connor’s writing absorbs the colorful harmonies and melodic rhythms of these great composers while constantly searching for unique and honest ways to express himself.
