Conjunto Colores Plays at Jazz on 2nd Ave
Colorado’s Original Salsa & Latin Jazz Band, “Conjunto Colores” is playing at Jazz on 2nd Ave this Saturday, September 17 in Niwot. Festival is 2 to 10pm.
Conjunto Colores has opened for such bands as: Tito Puente Orquestra, Sonora Poncena, Bob James, Willie Colon, and Ruben Blades, just to name a few. They have appeared at the following festivals, The Taste of Colorado, Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Cinco de Mayo Celebrations, Ski Fiesta, Telluride Jazz Festival and Denver City Park Jazz. They had the honor of playing for former Mayor Wellington E Webb Red Rocks jazz Festival. Lastly sharing the stage with the great Arturo Sandoval, Diane Schuur under the stars at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Conjunto Colores is one of the few bands that specializes in “Salsa Dura” (Hard Salsa) which emphasizes strong percussion and horns over vocals. The band performs regularly at top salsa clubs in the US and abroad.
