Canción Mexican—Nuestras Tradiciones Culturales
Yolanda premieres a segment called Nuestras Tradiciones Culturales during our first hour, “La Epoca Dorada,” on Canción Mexicana on Sunday, October 4, from 9 to 10 am.
These segments, produced by Yolanda Ortega, Dee Burleson and Dr. Lorenzo Trujillo provides our listeners with an informative and lovely narrative about our classics that we play from 9am to 10am every Sunday.
Lorenzo, the narrator, gives us a unique insight to celebrated Mejicano artists who were infamous for their interpretations of the old songs, our roots!
As well, some of the segments give the listener background on huapangos, waltzes, cuadrillos, the Entrega and the Marcha de los Novios.
