Blues from the Top: 22 Years of Blues in Winter Park

Blues from the Top kicks off June 28th and runs through to June 30th in Colorado’s Winter Park. It’s put on by the Grand County Blues Society (GCBS), an institution in Blues and music education in Grand County, and it has been bringing national and local acts to the high country for the past 22 years. Their mission is to promote this American musical art form by hosting live performances by Blues musicians and providing events to educate the public about the history of Blues music.

Where world-class blues meets the breathtaking backdrop of the Continental Divide, The GCBS invites the community to enjoy 3 unforgettable days of music, food, and fun in beautiful Winter Park, Colorado. I spoke with Maria Chavez this week on Live and Local to get the details on this weekend’s festival. She is the President of GCBS, produces the Blues from the Top festival and books the talent so we had a lot of fun digging into the line-up which you can see below! Check out our conversation here:
