Black Joy Gospel Experience
Thank you for joining us for an uplifting afternoon of laughter and gospel music at the Black Joy Gospel Experience, a comedy show and gospel concert presented by KUVO JAZZ and 104.7 THE DROP.
We had an amazing time this past Saturday, February 24, as KUVO JAZZ and THE DROP 104.7 brought together more than a hundred people for an unforgettable celebration of gospel music and laughter at the Black Joy Gospel Experience!
This event served as a vibrant tribute to the rich history of gospel music, a genre deeply rooted in culture and tradition. Recently, our sister station, RMPBS, aired a documentary aptly titled “GOSPEL,” now available for streaming on the PBS app, further highlighting the significance of this musical legacy.
Hosted by Denver’s own, Shed G, a talented actor, radio personality, and Christian comedian of the year, the stage came alive with performances by Dr. Michael Williams and Eternal Life, Christian rapper Jaylikethealphabet, and the soul-stirring vocals of Nathaniel Black.
Among the attendees were esteemed members of our staff, including the esteemed Deborah Walker, host of KUVO’s Gospel Train and Ennis Geoff Brown, host of THE DROP’s Gospel Jamz.
The Black Joy Gospel Experience was more than just an event; it was a testament to the power of music to uplift spirits and unite hearts. We’re immensely grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating this beautiful tradition of joy, faith, and soul-stirring melodies. Stay tuned for more unforgettable experiences from KUVO JAZZ and THE DROP!
The event was hosted by the talented actor, radio personality, and Christian comedian Shed G, and will feature local gospel artists. This event was an unforgettable blend of humor and inspiration. Held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 • 2 pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 3701 Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO
