Beer, Wine and Food Pairing
This month’s Beer, Wine, and Food Pairing brings back one of our old friends (Brightmarten restaurant) to the KUVO studios. Marc Despalmes, General Manager and sommelier for the restaurant stopped by to discuss Brightmarten’s Butternut Squash Risotto that he brought to the table. Carolyn Joy of Joy Wine and Spirits and Marc discussed the 2017 Boatmen red that she brought to pair with the Butternut Squash Risotto.
Marc discussed some of the ingredients in the dish (I had detected a citrusy taste), while Carolyn talked about the Papagani Vineyards where the wine is sourced, the deep inky purple color of the wine and more.
