Artist Interview: Trumpeter, Keyon Harrold
World-class trumpeter, vocalist, producer, and composer, Keyon Harrold is widely celebrated for his ability to transcend jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and pop.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a host of artists like Lonnie Smith, Jay-Z, Beyonce Erykah Badu, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Black Pumas, Gregory Porter, and Maxwell and he provided the trumpet performances on the Grammy-winning soundtrack for the film Miles Ahead starring and directed by Don Cheadle.
Keyon Harrold has announced the release of his latest album Foreverland which is out worldwide on January 19th. The new album marks his Concord Jazz debut and features guest performances by Common, Robert Glasper, Jean Baylor, Laura Mvula, PJ Morton, and more.
On Foreverland, Keyon Harrold takes the listener on an emotional journey and explores themes of empowerment, positivity, love, loss, and vulnerability.
