Dazzle Jazz presents Andrew Hudson: TranceJazz on Tuesday, June 7 – 6 and 8pm performances.

Led by local bassist Andrew Hudson, TranceJazz is a group of 5 seasoned jazz musicians dedicated to bringing the listener inside the music. “All too often, listeners of jazz feel like innocent bystanders,” says Hudson. “Yet, music listeners want a deeper and a more memorable connection not only with the musicians performing but with the music itself.” As a jazz fan and jazz musician performing for more than 35 years, Hudson has always had an interest in how artists can grab hold of the emotions of listeners through music. “I’ve been led to tears of sadness as well as to the highs of pure joy listening to music. In jazz in particular, it should never be considered a simple individualistic act performed by one musician or even one band, but a broader communication of emotion that invites the listener to experience on their own level.”
