Altin Sencalar joins Paul Donovan on Evening Jazz

Tune in as trombonist Altin Sencalar joins host Paul Donovan on Wednesday, July 17 at 4:15 p.m. for an interview to talk about his upcoming performance with the Rocco Lc Williams Quartet this Thursday night at 7 at Dazzle. It’s Rico’s “Going Away Show.”

Hailed by Stereophile Magazine for “sound[ing] like 21st-century grandchildren of JJ Johnson and Kai Winding” (with his co-bandleader Chris Glassman) and praised by the International Trombone Associations Journal for his “virtuosity [and] melodic and harmonic mastery,” Altin Sencalar is in high demand across the country as a performer, educator, and composer.

His concert will feature Altin backed by local vibraphonist, Rocco Lc Williams, and his spectacular new quintet. Rocco Lc Williams has been recognized as one of the most coherent players and authoritative band leaders in the Denver Metro area.
