Performing at Dazzle for the first time, the French jazz trio “Carol” along with the famous Denver trumpet player, Hugh Ragin. Ragin plays regularly with famous free jazz musicians as Roscoe Mitchell, David Murray and Antony Braxton.

The 3 french musicians, founders of Nautilus Ensemble, create a new kind of explosive yet sensitive music. After years of musical collaborations, Christophe Rocher, Nicolas Poniard, and Frederic B.Briet, perform together with their combined vision of music; free, lively, and always evolving. The Carol trio plays their variety of sounds by way of sparkling improvisations and powerful pieces which reflect the joy of contemporary jazz. The played in the United States with Butch Morris, Rob Mazurek, Jeff Parker, Jeb Bishop, Steve Coleman, Nicole Mitchell and many others.
