A conversation with Southwest Airlines

While most U.S. airlines now charge passengers for checked luggage, Southwest airlines continues to permit 2 free checked bags per passenger, and doesn’t charge for  last-minute itinerary changes. Southwest also does not charge any change fees and  offers free in-flight non-alcoholic beverages to it’s customers.  Due to alot of the above mentioned perks they have quite a loyal fanbase.

I had the chance to speak with John Doherty, a captain with Southwest Airlines, regarding what he and the company were thinking about when they first heard about Covid-19, how they have been addressing  passenger interactions and concerns, Southwest still flying, going through airports now, and more.
