Saxophonist Allison Young makes her Nocturne debut paying tribute to the great baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan with her quartet (Kate Williams – trumpet, Domi Edson – bass, and Bobby Wiens – drums). The Allison Young Quartet captures the essence of the west coast/cool jazz chordless quartet popularized by Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker, and will be playing a lively mix of Mulligan hits and lesser known compositions.

Allison Young is a Colorado based woodwind artist who performs as a bandleader and side-person for groups such as the Drew Zaremba Jazz Fellowship, the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, and the Annie Booth Big Band. Most recently, she toured North America as the baritone saxophonist for the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra. She has performed alongside artists such as Wayne Bergeron, Sheila Jordan, Greg Gisbert, Steve Kovalcheck and Jim White, and recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Music Business.
