Tree King talks with The Sewall Child Development Center
If you’ve met one child with autism, you’ve met one child with autism. When I first heard about autism there were 1-68 children diagnosed with autism. Today it’s 1-36. Autism is on the rise and this is why I want to bring awareness to our community.
On Wednesday, April 5, at 11 am Tree King will have two special guests in the studio to talk about autism awareness. Welcome Lori Helmstetter MA, CCC-SLP, an expert on Autism and inclusion, also serves as the Director at The Zone which is one of Sewall’s largest inclusive programs, and Kris Bomgaars Vice President of Public Relations and Advocacy.
“Sewall Child Development Center provides inclusive and joyful learning environments using the power of partnerships, diversity, and belonging to enrich the social and academic growth of every child and family. Our promise is to work together to help each and every child reach their fullest potential. Sewall is a leader in providing fully inclusive high-quality early education to children across Denver. As a nonprofit, we don’t turn families away based on their ability to pay or the child’s needs.”
The Sewall Child Development is located at 940 Fillmore St. Denver, CO 80206; contact: 303-399-1800 or www.Sewall.org
