Ciudad Reina, a Denver arts collaborative, was formed in 2022 to speak to Denver’s large and often overlooked Latine population, including them in the artistic heartbeat of this city. Taking its name from a Spanish translation of  Denver’s nickname “Queen City of the Plains”, Ciudad Reina looks to bring musicians from all over the world into some of Denver’s favorite local haunts, simultaneously showing off the vibrant and thriving Latine neighborhoods throughout the city.

Town Hall Collaborative is a women-owned gathering space creating connection, community, and a sense of belonging right in the heart of Denver’s Art District.

Ciudad Reina presents Dia De Los Muertos, a free event featuring Latine sounds that will take you on a journey with no genre limits. Featuring KUVO’s Super Sonido host La Molly and El Jaguar hailing from Oaxaca, MX to kick off the night with a variety of underground Latine sounds of the past, present, and future from 6-9 PM.

From 9-10 PM Headlining the show is Los Alcos, Denver’s newest Familia band will blend rhythmic Latin-Psych, trippy Space-Funk, and tasty Groovy-Rock into a spicy fusion of sounds. Papa David Alcocer shreds Santana-style guitars while AlexAlco wildly plays an inventive, multi-instrumental setup, with an incredible band of music pros in tow.

Each show brings energy and unique moments, with intense improv and showmanship. Expect to be surprised and enchanted by music selections from alternative rock, lo-fi, electronica, hip hop, new wave, pop-rock, and cumbia woven into the sonic fabric. This is a family-friendly event with food provided by La Reyna del Sur and El Turkito, as well as a vendor market.
