Caffè Sole presents Sean McGowan: Union Station Organ Trio with Sean McGowan on guitar, Jeff Jenkins on organ, and Todd Reid on drums. All three musicians are tops and have played at Sole many times and I really look forward to their new musical incarnation of organ jazz.

Mr. McGowen is a fingerstyle jazz guitarist who combines many diverse musical influences with unconventional techniques to create a broad palette of textures within his compositions and arrangements for solo guitar. He is a guitar player’s guitarist, because of his extraordinary talent, versatility, technique and depth. He plays standards and the American Songbook masterfully in the classic style of finger-picking jazz reminiscent of the Joe Pass era… but he can also tear it up with bebop, straight ahead, and organ jazz with power, and speed and finesse. I am a huge fan of Sean’s guitar playing! He is one of my favorites.
