These are a few of my favorite things.

Tango, Flamenco, or African High Life
Otis Rush guitar that cuts like a knife
Django and Stephane’s unbeatable swing
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the night falls
When my life stalls
Or the day turns gray
I listen again to my favorite things
And gratefully go on my way.

Being entranced when Betty Carter sings
These are a few of my favorite things.

When my words fail
No check’s in the mail
And the world takes its toll
I listen again to my favorite things
And soon I am back feeling whole.
