The Emily Takahashi Quintet will be performing at Caffè Sole to celebrate the release of Emily’s second album of original compositions for jazz quintet, Cenozoic Dreams.
Emily’s lifelong immersion in both the classical piano and jazz improvisational worlds has evolved into a personal language that is a hybrid of both. Her compositions explore the intersection between the lyricism and orchestral elements of classical music with the rich harmony, rhythmic complexity, and open improvisation of modern jazz.
She will be joined by Shane Endsley on trumpet, Anisha Rush on saxophone, Bill McCrossen on bass, and Art Lande on drums.
Dinner service is 6-9 and Showtime is 7-10. We don’t take reservations so come early to get a table and enjoy our excellent and affordable bistro menu. Seating and dinner start at 6 and Showtime is 7-10.
