In a few short years, vocalist Gregory Porter has risen to the top of the male vocalist headliners around the world. he performs at sold-out venues and his recordings are among the biggest sellers. We debut Gregory Porter’s brand new album “All Rise” on the Blue Note label. As always Gregory makes you feel good with his uplifting music and lyrics!
Argentinian trumpeter Diego Urcola faces off with the Cuban NEA Jazz Master, clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera in their new outing, “El Duelo”, (the duel). This new recording features Hamish Smith-bass and Eric Doob-drums accompany Diego and Paquito in a varied collection of originals and covers of music written by Dizzy Gillespie, Astor Piazolla, Gerry Mulligan, Wayne Shorter, Monk, Benny Golson, and others. This is a musical duel where everyone wins!
Denverite drummer Paul Mullikin has just released his second recording as a leader, “Orchestral Quintet”. He leads his group performing 10 selections written by classical music composers with jazz seasoning arranged by Mulliken. The players with Paul are Jeff Jenkins on piano and Rhodes keys with Sean McGown-guitar, Gabriel Mervine-trumpet, and Andrew Rose-bass.
