Hot Jazz Star Bria Skonberg Meets the Mayor of Oasisville

Chilliwack, B.C.-raised, New York City-based trumpeter and vocalist  Bria Skonberg is in town this weekend performing with her Hot 5 at the Lindy on Rocks / Denver Vintage Jazz Festival.  A contemporary artist with deep Jazz roots, Bria‘s recordings cover the gamut from vintage hot trumpet to Joni Mitchell interpretations to modern original music.  

So WHEREAS it pleases “Mayor” Ed Danielson, and WHEREAS Traditional Jazz music with contemporary flair is his bag, and WHEREAS Mr. Danielson has been a fan of Bria’s for some time, we THEREFORE declare that Saturday, August 2nd at 2:30 PM Ms. Skonberg shall honor us with the pleasure of her company, playing some of her recordings and an on air interview during Saturday Afternoon Jazz with Ed Danielson.
