UNC Jazz Lab To Perform Live In-Studio | Jan. 27
As part of KUVO’s High School/Collegiate Series, the UNC Jazz Lab will be broadcast live from the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio January 27 at 7 pm MST.
The 18-piece band – directed by Dana Landry – has won six Down Beat awards in the last eight years, two as “Best College Big Band.” Performing throughout the U.S., the Jazz Lab band has accompanied many jazz greats, including Slide Hampton, Louis Bellson, Clark Terry, J.J. Johnson, Jim McNeely, Benny Golson, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kevin Mahogany, Kenny Wheeler, Bob Mintzer, Bob Brookmeyer and Peter Erskine.
