Sunday night’s lunar eclipse to be exceptional
When did you last witness a total, super moon, blood red lunar eclipse in the early evening? If you cannot recall a specific time, do not feel lonely. For many, this alignment of rare occurrences will only happen once in a lifetime. In this segment from “First Take with Lando and Chavis,” Jeff Tropeano of the Denver Astronomical Society explains this phenomenon and shares his expectations for Sunday night’s spectacle.
Join Jeff and his colleges from the Denver Astronomical Society as they view the lunar eclipse on Sunday evening, September 27, 2015 at the University of Denver’s Chamberlin Observatory (2930 E Warren Ave, Denver, CO 80210, near Evans and I-25) at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome although there is a small suggested donation ($2/person or $5/family) to observe the eclipse through the 25 foot long, refracting telescope.
