A little note on Ellyn Rucker during Women’s History Month

Ellyn Rucker’s light, sensual vocals and smooth, swinging piano have been a staple for decades. She discovered jazz as a child, and in the 1980’s after raising her family, she took up music full time and broke into the big- time world of Jazz.

Ellyn has toured Europe several times, performed throughout the U.S. and at many festivals.  Even though she was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa she calls Denver her musical home. She has been a long-time fixture in Denver for many years performing at La Cour, Nocturne and at the Phyllis A. Greer performance Studio here at KUVO.
