Vinyl Vault: “Kalahari” by Dave Valentin

This week’s Vinyl Vault features a 1984 release from flutist Dave Valentin entitled Kalahari. The album came out on the GRP label and featured many great players including Bill O’Connell on piano, Robby Ameen on drums, Lincoln Goins on bass and Kevin Eubanks on guitar. The set features a number of Valentin originals as well as tunes by Sonny Rollins and Wayne Shorter.
