On Behind The Mic this week, we preview the season 11 finale of “Colorado Experience” on Rocky Mountain PBS. “Palisade Peaches” takes you to the heart of Colorado’s Grand Valley, where the town of Palisade is synonymous with peaches. This episode explores the more than 150 years of peach growing in this unique valley where its conditions make for the perfect sweet peach. Through interviews with local farmers, migrant workers, and community members, RMPBS traces the journey of three orchards as they work to produce the best peaches of the season.

Amanda Horvath, managing producer of “Colorado Experience” joined Steve Chavis and Abi Clark on The Morning Set to tell us more about the sweet season finale around Palisade peaches. On Behind the Mic, an audio preview of the episode aired which featured the voices of Charlie Talbott, 5th generation fruit grower at Talbott Farms, and Mario Moreno Hernandez, crew supervisor at Talbott Farms.
