Colorado bassist Mark Diamond has a way of persuading bar owners to open their doors to jazz. After the closing of Terra on 14th Street a year ago, Diamond has done it again, bringing the jazz back to the Vine Street Pub & Brewery on Thursdays.

He recently sat down with The Morning Set’s Steve Chavis and Abi Clark to talk about “Vine St. Vibes” and his November 20 gig at Nocturne with his Big Swing Trio (with Andy Weyl on keys and Paul Romaine on drums) at Nocturne.

Vine St. Update: On November 14, 7 p.m., Mark will be joined by Pete Olstad on trumpet, Alejandro Castaño on drums, and Jack Dunlevie on keys.
