In the days after the 2024 General Election, the noise over the voting process itself has quieted a bit. That’s due in large part to the work of reporters like Chad Lorenz at VoteBeat.org and Kyle Cooke, a journalist at our sister station Rocky Mountain PBS. They’ve kept a trained eye on the inner workings of county clerks’ offices around Colorado and across the U.S.

Lorenz and Cooke visited The Morning Set to share how and why things went more smoothly this time and why the few issues were managed by a more transparent and prepared operation. They also discussed a few of the important days ahead and the processes that make democracy in the world’s third-largest nation work.
