A hauntingly beautiful evening filled with soulful music and thoughtful poetry from some of the most provoking women artists in Colorado. Come dressed in black to honor this spooky season as Denver’s prominent jazz bar is transformed into a moody, sultry space for this memorable event.
Lady Los hails from the Mile High City and provides the universe with sweet, soothing melodies and mantras. She is a creator of chilled-out R&B that makes you slow down and be present. Lay up, attune your energy, or take a ride to smooth, psychedelic, neo-soul sounds from Lady Los.
Karia White, originally from New Jersey, is a poet, writer, educator, and mixed media artist that explores the human/inhuman understandings of Black bodies and experience. She draws on her northeastern (father’s side) and southern (mother’s side) roots to flesh out loss, location and the potentials of liberation. She is an organizer of various art-based healing projects within Denver as well as building (inter)national solidarity efforts through organizing. You can find her co-facilitating at the Denver Chapter of Noname Bookclub held every month.
