Singer-songwriter-pianist Chantil Dukart and the Dukes of Art were captured live in KUVO’s Bonfils-Stanton Studio; that session has been remixed for release on KUVO YouTube and Twitch channels on Thursday, October 10 at 11 a.m. Chantil on piano, was joined by Parker Murphy on bass and Jordon Hemby on drums.

Chantil is a Denver-based, Alaska-raised indigenous jazz pianist, composer, and singer with roots in the Tsimshian and Sugpiaq people of Alaska. She recently performed at the Kennedy Center in DC with the Indigenous Big Band featuring esperanza spalding. She is a Blue Desert artist, a 2023 Native Launchpad Award Recipient, a touring member of Pamyua (Alaska native soul group), and a freelancing composer who recently scored a horror composition for an Indigenous Theatre play set to premiere in October.

As a writer, Chantil has released two albums and composed hundreds of compositions in her musical career. An extremely versatile artist, has written funk, folk, classical, jazz, and reggae and brings a deep soulfulness, sense of humor, and sincerity to the stage. Her secret project is low-fi EDM music centered around a fictional superhero named “Chantron.”

Performances on KUVO JAZZ are supported by KUVO Studio Club members, the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, Drum City Guitar Land, Grace Design Pro Audio, and the donors to the Carlos Lando Musician & Event Fund.
