Enjoy a full set of original contemporary large ensemble jazz arranged for nonet (6 horns, 3 rhythm section) composed by Quinn Dymalski. On the forefront of contemporary jazz composition, Quinn Dymalski (also known as The Quinny D.) is a saxophonist, composer, and artist based in Los Angeles, CA. — Inspired by progressive rock, experimental pop, and modern classical works, Quinn’s even-eighth compositions pose a rhythmic and harmonic complexity that is unique to himself. Though in the realm of fusion, the winding counterpoint and heavy bass lines result in many describing his music as “big band metal.” This performance will feature several pieces from his album, “Quinny D. Big Band I,” which can be heard on all streaming platforms.
