Interview with Dzirae Gold
Dzirae Gold stopped by KUVO to talk about her upcoming concert with Paul Donovan on Evening Jazz. Roots Music Project presents “Come Away With Me,” a Valentine’s Day live concert tribute to Norah Jones and her landmark debut album, “Come Away With Me.”
Dzirae Gold is a Denver-based R&B Singer. Her music is often compared to a Memphis Soul-inspired Pop style. “Rich, soaring vocals whose lyrics speak directly to one’s spirit!” — is how this Lyric Soprano-trained opera singer is described. Dzirae Gold combines her technical vocal skills, and Chicagoland jazz and soul roots to create a sound as “smooth as liquid gold.” Dzirae’s inspiring efforts and community presence, representing the beautiful, multifaceted culture and history of Black music is why she is recognized as “Denver’s Golden Girl.”
Playing the Norah Jones “Come Away With Me” album track-by-track in its entirety will be:
Dzirae Gold on vocals
Solomon Chapman on keys
Caton Sollenberger on guitar
Jon Oren on drums
Brian Keating on double bass
The concert “Come Away With Me” is on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14 at 8 pm at Roots Music Project —“A Colorado Non-Profit Music Incubator and Live Music Venue located at 4747 Pearl Street, Suite V3A, in Boulder. This will be an intimate seated show, come celebrate with your loved one.
