Studio Flo - Musicians and community members are frequently invited on-air for live interviews to talk about upcoming performances or local news.

KUVO Jazz welcomes the Denver School of the Arts Combo, 'Impulse' to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio on Thursday, April 5 at 3:15 to 4pm; their repertoire includes all Charles Mingus tunes. The Combo is Chris Ferrari - Sax and clarinet, Sam Keedy - Trombone, Alec Streete - Vibes, Tony Golden - Bass and Aleks Girshevich - Drums, all students who performed at the Essentially Ellington High School festival in New York's Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick Rose stage last year, where they took second place in the national competition.

Join us as we welcome Sundae & Mr. Goessl to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio on Tuesday, April 24 at 2:15pm as they perform for the KUVO Studio Club.

The Rebel Jazz Band will perform for the KUVO Studio Club on Tuesday, April 10 at 7pm. This is a full big band and jazz combo program that is opened to students at Denver South High School on an auditioned basis. The Rebel Jazz Band has long been one of the top ensembles at Denver South High School and one of the few full big bands in Denver Public School.

Open Source

The Open Source Ensemble will perform in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio in front of the Studio Club audience on Wednesday, March 21 from 5 to 6pm. Conceived by bassist Seth Lewis and Tenor-man Kenyon Brenner, Open Source is a collaborative group of Denver area jazz composers and players who draw musical inspiration from greats such as: The Jazz Messengers, Miles Davis’ Quintets, Horace Silver and Wayne Shorter.

KUVO Studio Club welcomes the Lamont Jazz Orchestra for a live performance on Wednesday, March 28 from 7 to 8pm. The University of Denver's Lamont Jazz Orchestra has won the top award at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival in a tie with Central Oklahoma University. Lamont soloists, Dylan Vessel, trumpet and Matt Campbell, drums won two of the four Judges Soloist Awards!
