An ideal way to kick off the first New Music Monday during  Black History Month is our spotlight CD, a previously unreleased concert of Wes Montgomery in Paris-1965! Wes is accompanied by Harold Mabern, Arthur Harper, Jimmy Lovelace and Johnny Griffin who appears on 3 tracks. All the music on this double disc set has been remastered and authorized by the Montgomery estate.

This Sunday, February 4, at 4 p.m., KUVO’s performance series “On Stage” features local piano hero Eric Gunnison!

Beginning at Noon this Monday, January 29,  tune in or log on to hear Arturo Gómez host another exciting edition of New Music Monday.  Listen to the debut of the newest by esteemed drummer Brian Blade and his Fellowship Band's "Body and Shadwo". Also premiering will be Denver's own, guitarist Jim Stahlhut's "A Life's Work", the Jambalaya Brass Band-"Habana to New Orleans", pianist Ben Patterson's "That Old Feeling" and several others.

We'll take a listen to Vi Redd’s second and last release as a leader, on her 1963 Atco label LP, “Lady Soul,” backed up by jazz greats, Barney Kessell, Leroy Vinegar, Dick Hyman, Bucky Pizzarelli, Ben Tucker and others.
